The following is a list of classes available here at Creative Learning Center. Enrichment A: Earth Quest 101 This program is open to students who are three years six months to six years old. It meets on Tuesday and Thursday, 11:45AM - 2:30PM. Join us as we explore our exciting planet Earth! Our adventuresome archeologists will dig into Earth's crust as we learn about rocks, minerals, and fossils. We will travel back in time to follow the footprints of dinosaurs. Don't be surprised when our mini-meterologists get all wet as we investigate stormy weather around the globe. We will take a totally tropical trip into the rainforest, climb inside a bubbling volcano, slosh through the muddy marshlands, and explore ohter exciting ecosystems in our wonderfully wide world. Throughout each unit, we will be involved in hands-on experiments, arts and crafts, cooking, and dramatization. Literature wll be the springboard to our quest for knowledge! Field trips and assemblies will help make our journey complete. Enrichment B: Fizz, Bubble, Pop! This program is open to students who are three years nine months to six years old. It meets on Tuesday and Thursday, 11:45AM - 2:30PM. How do you turn a class of early learners into a roomful of wide eyes and giggles? The answer is by providing fascinating experiments that children will create and explore for themselves. From spinning eggs, to shadow and light rooms, these activites will turn your child into a super-scientist! We will investigate kitchen chemistry, magnetism, everyday physics, water, air, light and more. Our goal is to stimulate a sense of curiosity and help children evaluate their natural surroundings. Enrichment C: World Travelers This class is open to students who are between the ages of four and six years old. It meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 11:45AM - 2:30PM. Using literature, video and audio cassettes as our guides, World Travelers is a class that enables children to discover their fellow countries. Also, children will use foreign languages, crafts, cooking, science experiments, song and dance, computers, and special field trips to develop respect and understanding for other cultures. Enrichment D: Hello America! This class is open to students who are between four and six years old. It meets on Tuesday and Thursday, 11:45AM - 2:30PM. From lobstering in Maine to apple-picking in Washington, children will visit every corner of our glorious country and learn about each states' unique history and personality. The USA will come alive through arts, social studies, science, and cooking. "Funtastic" field trips also make this class a memorable learning experience!
